The Meaning of AETHER
'A' stands for Aether, the ancient Greek concept describing the purest form of air and the quintessence of space.
In classical thought, Aether referred to the upper air, an intangible element associated with lightness, clarity and timeless order.
'D' stands for Design, the studio's craft and the process through which ideas are translated into spatial experience.
At AETHER DESIGN, the practice extends beyond visual composition, aligning space, light and material to shape atmospheres of balance and purpose.
This dual meaning defines the studio's identity and informs its design approach. AETHER brings together conceptual depth and design precision, shaping spaces where elements are guided by intent and sensitivity to human perception.

Founded by interior architect and lighting designer Despoina Androni, the studio reflects a deep passion for crafted spaces and atmospheric design.
With an academic background in architectural lighting design and award-winning projects, her work bridges artistic sensitivity with architectural precision.
